Kohli throws temper tantrum after golden duck

Indian skipper Virat Kohli was absolutely fuming after a first-ball duck in the IPL, throwing his equipment before remonstrating with officials.

Royal Challengers Bangalore's lauded batting line-up was bowled out for just 49 by Kolkata Knight Riders - a record low score in the IPL.

Australia's Nathan Coulter-Nile helped Kolkata to a stunning 82-run win with three wickets, including the prized scalp of Kohli for a golden duck.

Kohli angrily gestured towards the crowd after his dismissal, apparently upset that someone near the sight screen had distracted him.

He trudged off the field, threw his bat and gloves on the ground in anger before complaining to the fourth umpire (not that anything could be done about his gripes).

Kohli said his side's performance was unacceptable.

"Our worst batting performance, it really hurts," he said.

"After the kind of half that we had, we thought we could capitalise and chase it down.

"Reckless batting. I can't say anything at the moment. It was that bad.

"This is just not acceptable."
