'Finch is in the mood': Aussie captain makes England pay after nervy start

Aaron Finch has survived two huge scares in overcast conditions against England before steadying the ship and hitting a stunning half-century.

England won the toss and sent Australia into bat in overcast conditions at Lords and the Aussie captain struggled with the swinging ball.

After swinging wildly at the second ball of the first over from he was lucky to edge it over second slip.

Only five overs later James Vince put Finch down off the bowling of Jofra Archer.

Vince launched himself through the air but wasn’t able to hold onto the ball.

Chris Woakes struck Finch on the pads right in front and captain Eoin Morgan went up stairs after the umpire ruled not out.

Fortunately for Finch, the ball was clipping the bails but remained umpires call.

England would come to regret the missed opportunity with both Finch and David Warner hitting half centuries to take Australia 0-108 after 20 overs.
