Roger Federer’s ‘training from home’ challenge went bonkers this week with fans around the world inundating the 20-time Grand Slam champ with videos.

But Federer also challenges celebrities to lift their game and show what they are doing to keep active at home.

FAN FRENZY: Roger Federer sparks online craze in brilliant social media post

Many responded - including Novak Djokovic, Aussie actor Hugh Jackman and footballer Toni Kroos - and finally adventurer Bear Grylls answered the challenge.

Grylls posted a video of him and his son playing tennis, but was clearly outdone during the rally as he lost the point.

The adventurist asked the 20-time Grand Slam champ for some tips.

“As requested... here you go - any tips? I always get beaten! This is me being smacked around by our eldest son @jesse_grylls playing which is even more annoying!” he wrote.

“Ps I might have lost to you on the mountain when we played mini ping-pong, but I I reckon we would have a good battle at @touchtennis though! Hope you’re staying safe legend and keeping training… NGU never give up.”

Federer replied with a cheeky quip.

“Tip: you are forgetting the split step every time. I would take the court outdoors, seems more your thing. NGU Never Give up,” he wrote.

Federer appeared on ‘Running Wild with Bear Grylls’ and climbed the Swiss Alps and ate fish eyeballs with Grylls.

Grylls even challenged Federer to a game of mini ping-pong on top a mountain. But despite taking a few points and Federer’s hands shaking in the cold, there was only ever going to be one outcome with the 20-time Grand Slam champ taking the win.

Jackman, Kroos repsond to Federer

But Federer also challenged a host of celebrities to show off their regime.

Some of them included Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, actors Hugh Jackman and former WWF star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and survivor specialist Bear Grylls.

And a few have started to respond to the #trainingfromhome challenge.

Aussie actor Jackman responded to the video claiming while he doesn’t have a tennis court at his place in New York, he does have plenty of stairs to run up.

Real Madrid star and World Cup winner Toni Kroos decided to take on the challenge directly.

Although he apologised for his choice of bucket hat, which didn’t quite compare to Federer’s style.
