Conor McGregor says he has 'agreed' to boxing exhibition vs. Logan Paul

MMA star Conor McGregor has announced his return to combat sports, revealing on social media that he has "agreed" to an exhibition boxing match against YouTube celebrity and former WWE champion Logan Paul.

McGregor, who has not had a UFC bout since suffering a broken leg in a loss to Dustin Poirier in 2021, said he would be delaying his return to the Octagon until after his boxing match with Paul, the brother of fellow boxer and YouTuber Jake Paul – who last month won a unanimous decision over former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in their much-publicized fight.

McGregor did not reveal a date for his clash with Logan Paul, but said it would take place in India.

McGregor's future plans have been uncertain in the wake of last month's ruling in a civil lawsuit in Ireland that he was found liable for sexual assault of a woman in 2018 and ordered to pay roughly $250,000 in damages. McGregor has maintained that the two had consensual sex. No criminal charges were filed in the incident.

McGregor has won only one MMA fight in eight years and has an 0-1 record as a boxer, losing to Floyd Mayweather by TKO in 2017.

Logan Paul – who won the WWE United States Championship in late 2023, but has since said he has retired from wrestling – fought Mayweather to a draw in an exhibition in 2021.
