Coniglio headlines three Giant returns for Crows clash

Greater Western Sydney midfield gun Stephen Coniglio will play against Adelaide after recovering from a shoulder injury.

Coniglio headlines three changes for the Giants side to take on the Crows in Adelaide.

The Giants vice-captain has been missing from action since round 11 after dislocating his right shoulder in their four-point win over Geelong.

He also missed four weeks earlier in the season with a minor medial collateral ligament tear sustained in round five.

GWS coach Adam Kingsley also confirmed defenders Harry Perryman and Isaac Cumming would return to the side.

The cavalry boost comes at an ideal time as the fifth-placed Giants battle a recent form slump.

GWS are licking their wounds after falling to their third defeat in five games, losing by 27 points to cross-city rivals Sydney last time out.

"All three of those guys got through training no problem, so they'll be back in," Kingsley said on Thursday.

"We've got a bit of work to do on selection but we're happy with Isaac. 'Cogs' got through no problems and so did 'Pez', so we're pretty happy with all of them."

Perryman (hamstring) was also injured in round 11.

Cumming has featured in the past two VFL rounds. He has yet to play at the elite level this season after missing out on the opening rounds  with a calf injury, before being sidelined with a hamstring complaint.

Meanwhile, the timeline surrounding All-Australian defender Sam Taylor's return after rupturing a testicle has yet to be determined.

Taylor underwent surgery last week and was an observer during Thursday's training session.

"He's in good spirits, no longer in any pain, which is nice," Kingsley said.

"He'll start running next week and then - I'd be purely guessing, but I would expect a couple of weeks after that he should be OK (for training).

"He saw the surgeon yesterday and the update was pretty positive."
