College Football Playoff schedule: CFP bowl games time, date and channel

The College Football Playoff Selection Committee is on the brink of a significant moment-the release of its first of six top-25 rankings on Tuesday night. This eagerly awaited event will provide a crucial insight into the teams' positions in the race for the national title.

The first round CFP action which kicks off on Friday, December 20, with a primetime game, is a momentous start to the playoff postseason. This is followed by three defining games on Saturday, December 21. The Playoff quarterfinals continue on Tuesday, December 31 at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl and followed by three bowl games on Wednesday, January 1.

The CFP semifinals are set to take place on Thursday, January 9, featuring two primetime games at the Orange Bowl and the Cotton Bowl. The winners of these crucial matchups will face off for the national championship on Monday, January 20, in Atlanta, Georgia.

The College Football Playoff quarterfinals and semifinals rotate annually among six bowl games:
