Chris Hemsworth hilariously holds Matt Damon's hand for support during tattoo session

The two appeared in "Thor: Ragnarok" and "Thor: Love and Thunder" together.

Thor and (fake) Loki are now brothers in ink!

Matt Damon received some strong support from none other than Chris Hemsworth recently when he got a new tattoo. In an Instagram post from Trudy Lines Tattoo shared Monday, Hemsworth can be seen holding Damon's hand with one hand and cupping his head in the other. It looks as if the Avenger is calming down the Oscar winner during the tattoo work, as Hemsworth's wife Elsa Pataky and Damon's wife Luciana Barroso, are smiling behind them.

"Pre-game hangs before the Oscars with @chrishemsworth @elsapataky #mattdamon @dameluce 📽️🥂🖤 I love my job. Thank you for being so great @chrishemsworth & @elsapataky," the artist, whose real name is Corina Weikl, wrote in the caption.

The post is a carousel of images and videos which reveal Hemsworth and Pataky also getting tattoos — though it would appear they didn't need moral support from Damon for theirs.

The actors appeared onscreen together in 2017's Thor: Ragnarok and 2022's Thor: Love and Thunder with Hemsworth as the titular Asgardian superhero and Damon in a cameo as a theater troupe actor portraying the role of Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in a play within the films, but the duo and their wives have all been friends offscreen for many years.

Earlier this year the couples and their families even kicked off the new year with a ski trip. Pataky and Hemsworth both posted a slew of photos of the trip to their Instagrams.

“Going from summer in Australia to the snow in Montana is always an epic adventure ⛄️❄️,” the Thor star captioned his. Pataky's post featured candids of Damon, Barroso, and their kids next to the Hemsworth family. "New Years at the snow with my love ones. Happy New Year to all of you. / Celebrando el Año Nuevo con la gente que quiero y me hace feliz. Feliz Año a todos!,” read her caption.

The fresh ink is not Damon's first tattoo. Some of his previous tats include the word "Nomad," which was the name of his father's boat as well as "Damon" backwards, the names of his wife and four daughters, and a design that is the same as a tattoo that the late Heath Ledger had.
