Chelsea have been boosted by the return to fitness of Noni Madueke, Reece James and Romeo Lavia for their Premier League showdown against Bournemouth tonight.

The Blues have not won in four league games, but did thrash League Two side Morecambe in the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.

Lavia and James both made their returns from hamstring injuries in that game, playing 45 minutes each, and manager Enzo Maresca confirmed that the pair each came through their comebacks unscathed.

“We are very happy for both,” Maresca said on Monday. “They played 45 minutes the other day and now they are available for the next games.

“As I said since we've started, we are going to try and manage them both because they are a bit delicate situations."

Madueke, meanwhile, missed out on the squad against Morecambe through illness, but Maresca says the winger is now “100 per cent fit”.

Lavia and Madueke both start against Bournemouth tonight, but captain James has to make do with a place on the bench.

Maresca made 10 changes to his side against Morecambe and reverses most of them this evening, though youngster Josh Acheampong gets another start at centre-back.
