Cardiff Devils suffer third successive league loss

Cardiff Devils' poor run continued as they suffered a third successive Elite League defeat with a 5-3 home loss against Coventry Blaze.

Cole Sanford and Zach O'Brien's goals had given Devils a 2-0 lead at the end of the opening period.

Jackson Cressy replied for Blaze and although Tyler Busch restored the home side's two-goal advantage Nick Seitz made it 3-2.

But goals from Seitz, David Clements and Chase Gresock in the final period saw Devils slump to a fourth straight defeat in all competitions.

Devils are away to Guildford Flames in the league on Sunday.
