AFL rising star facing ban for testing positive to banned substance
Gold Coast rising star Brayden Crossley is facing a suspension after an “adverse” finding in a drug test.
The Courier Mail report cocaine was detected on a match day sample and Crossley is waiting the return of a B sample after the 25 May NEAFL game.
The Gold Coast Suns revealed ASADA had been in contact over the finding.
"We have been notified that Brayden Crossley has received notification of an adverse analytical finding from a recent test by ASADA under the Australian Football Anti-Doping Code,” the statement read.
“The club supports the role of ASADA and will fully cooperate during this process.

“We are continuing to provide Brayden with wellbeing support and want to stress that it would be inappropriate to pre-empt the outcome of the matter at this time.
“Brayden has sought independent legal advice to assist him going forward.
“The club’s public commentary on this issue is governed by strict protocols, and as such under the Australian Football Anti-Doping Code we are unable to provide any further commentary whilst the process unfolds.”
Crossley, 20, played 10 games for the Suns in his breakout season in 2018.
He hasn’t played an AFL game this year as he has struggled to crack the first team.
