Brawl ensues between teams after Esports match
Everyone who has played a video game knows emotions can boil over when things don’t go your way, but these two teams at an Esports competition took their frustration to the next level.
The Atlanta Hawks’ Talon GC defeated the Boston Celtics Crossover’s 68-58 in the NBA 2k League competition on Thursday, which involves 21 teams all associated with an NBA franchise.
But it was the boilover at the end of the match that raised eyebrows.
As the two teams lined up for the customary post-match handshake, one team member refused to acknowledge his opponent and instead bumped shoulders.
This sparked a brawl between the two teams as they squared off and two players proceeded to push and shove each other.

Officials stepped in to quell the tension and keep the teams separated before the program cut the players from the broadcast.
No official statement had been made to whether anyone will be sanctioned for the post-match scuffle.
