Bradford sign Burnley striker Mellon on loan
Bradford City have signed Burnley striker Michael Mellon on loan until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old had been on a season-long loan with League One Stockport but featured just four times in all competitions for the Hatters and has had the deal cancelled to allow him to join the Bantams.
He had loan spells with Morecambe, where he scored 13 goals in 22 League Two appearances, and Dundee last season
Mellon joins Bradford a day after leading scorer Andy Cook was ruled out for the rest of the season with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
"Bringing Michael on board at this moment is a great boost for us," boss Graham Alexander told the club website.
"He is a proven goalscorer at this level, and we believe he will fit in seamlessly with the group and our style of play."
