Brad Pitt roasted over F1 race in bizarre Silverstone development
The F1 world couldn't believe the update involving the Hollywood star.
The F1 world has taken to social media to roast Hollywood star Brad Pitt after it was revealed the actor would take to Silverstone for his upcoming movie. Pitt will film at Silverstone for his still-untitled F1-based movie, directed by Jerry Bruckheimer and Joseph Kosinski.
The duo, who directed Top Gun: Maverick, will be at Silverstone and the following F1 events till the end of the season as they capture the essence of a race for the movie. Pitt will drive a modified F2/F3 car, which has been worked on by seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton and it has been confirmed no other driver will be on the track when filming begins.

And while Pitt and co are looking to make the movie as authentic as possible, it has sparked a hilarious response from a driver and the fans. Rookie Colton Herta couldn't help but make fun of the situation after learning of the news.
Herta was denied a super-license last year because he didn't have enough points, but saw the funny side of things when he took a dig at the situation."Brad Pitt got a super license before me. Tough," he wrote.

Brad Pitt will be driving a real F1 car alongside the other 20 drivers starting at Silverstone.
Jerry Bruckheimer and Joseph Kosinski will enter an “11th team” to be able to film on track scenes for their F1 movie for the rest of the season.

While the situation has been permitted, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali was apprehensive about the logistics and wanted to see how it unfolded at Silverstone. “We’re going to start the shooting in Silverstone very soon, and you will see it will be the first movie when basically, they will be within the racing event,” he said.
“It will be quite invasive in terms of production, it’s something that we need to control in a way, but it will be another way of showing that F1 never stops.”
And the whole situation has also caught the attention of F1 fans. The Formula One twitter community has always been a hilarious and fickle bunch and they took to social media to share their thoughts on the movie.

Lewis Hamilton opens up on Brad Pitt movie
While little is known of the feature film, Hamilton has been working as a producer on the movie to make it as authentic as possible. “I don’t know absolutely every single plan with all the things we’ll be doing in the paddock, I’m more focused on making sure the script is where it needs to be,” he said in Miami.
“That’s where all the time is currently, going through the script. We’ve got a really great and diverse cast. Joe’s focus is to make us as embedded in this sport as possible.
'For me it’s to make sure it’s authentic, and that all of you and racing fans see its authenticity and say ‘this is believable’, and have a view of racing from a different perspective than you might see on TV."
The movie comes off the back of Netflix's Drive to Survive series has taken the world by storm. Reigning world champion max Verstappen currently leads the F1 championship race on 93 points, five points ahead of Sergio Perez.
The Mexican won the last race in Azerbaijan. Veteran Fernando Alonso sits third.
