Boxing fans have been left fuming after undefeated Aussie boxer Jacob 'The Flamingo' Ng was disqualified for a 'WWE' style throw.

Billy Dib, a 36-year-old veteran, claimed he would retire if he didn't defeat one of the hottest prospects in Aussie boxing in the form of Ng (15-0).

However, after a tight six rounds, the bout turned ugly during a clinch.

The shorter Dib clinched Ng in an attempt to close range.

Ng was clearly frustrated at the tactic and tossed his opponent to the floor.

The toss didn't appear to be anything malicious, but Dib was unable to get up and appeared in pain.

The referee had no choice but to disqualify Ng for the illegal move.

Boos echoed in the arena with many unhappy with the incident.

Boxing fans divided over DQ

Many fans took to social media to blast Ng for the move, which ultimately ended the fight.

However, some thought the move wasn't very forceful and Dib may have stayed down to get the DQ win.

Despite some criticism, Dib took to social media to thank everyone for their support.

He also said he was in hospital with a dislodged rib that caused three separate fractures.
