Bowler hit with fine over 'pathetic' gesture towards Aussie
Pakistani bowler Sohail Tanvir has been punished by the Caribbean Premier League after sending off Aussie Ben Cutting with a rude gesture.
Guyana Amazon Warriors Tanvir has been hit with a fine of 15% of his match fee, after making the gesture against the St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots.
The CPL revealed Tanvir admitted to a breach in the code of conduct.
Australian all-rounder Ben Cutting was playing in the CPL on Friday when he received a double finger salute after being dismissed by Tanvir.
Tanvir was caught on camera raising the middle finger of both his hands in Cutting’s direction after clean-bowling him.
The Pakistani appeared to be upset that Cutting hit him for six on his previous delivery.
Fellow Aussie batsman Chris Lynn reacted with anger after seeing the incident.

Fans were also shocked by Tanvir’s disrespectful act.
Sohail Tanvir gives Ben Cutting a double middle-finger salute after bowling him with a yorker for 15. He'll probably be getting to meet match referee Denavon Hayles after the match. Patriots 119/3 in the 17th. pic.twitter.com/2tnzak0wmJ

I just can’t believe Sohail Tanvir just showed middle fingers to B. Cutting after bowling him out which I think is just ridiculous! #CPL18

@CPL @amznwarriors Sohail Tanvir is to be fined for that obscene gesture made to Ben Cutting on his dismissal during Twenty20 between Patriots vs Amazon Warriors. We all need to remember kids are watching worldwide & that form of behaviour is totally unacceptable in the game!!

Woaahhhh @CPL, you can't be letting Sohail Tanvir get away with that sendoff! Totally against the spirit.

Did you see Tanvir double bird-flip Cutting after he bowled him? Not exactly the spirit of cricket.
