India's Shiva Keshavan is another Fourth-Place Medal favorite

This is a little eerie. Way back in that Create-a-Caption post we gave a silver medal to "maddog_207" for cracking wise about India's entry in to the luge. He said, "And now for India's entry in the luge: Shiva, the destroyer!" Pretty funny, if you ask me.

But it got weird when I clicked over to this story about a Winter Olympian from India. He's India's only Winter Olympics athlete, and he's a luger.

And his name? That's right — Shiva.

Whoa. Apparently "maddog_207" is omnipotent. Or he/she is just up on their news. Either way, it freaked me out.

While we're on the topic, we might as well mention what's happening with Shiva "The Destroyer" Keshavan. As previously stated, Keshavan is the only Winter Olympian from India. But just a few days ago, there were not going to be any Winter Olympians from India, as Keshavan's sled had broken during training.

Because he's India's entire Winter Olympics team, there weren't enough resources to fix Keshavan's sled. Until five Indian businessmen chipped in $10,000 U.S. each to get the luger some more equipment. Now Keshavan is back on his way to Vancouver saying, "I am immensely grateful for the support I have received from these gentlemen. I am also deeply honored to have the encouragement of such an eminent group of lawyers as I set off on my fourth Olympic campaign. I hope to make them and the country proud."

Being the only Olympian from a warm weather country, he'll make some fans back home. And I know he's already made some here.
