Canada on Day 15: What to watch

A viewing guide to what's on tap for Canada on Day 15 of the Games.

Afternoon: The United States, reduced to going for one hockey gold medal, faces Finland in the early semifinal (3 p.m., CTV/NBC/V, all times ET).

The women's slalom (CTV/TSN/RDS, 1 and 4:30) has been pushed back today due to fog. That could yet wreak havoc.

Women's parallel giant slalom, the redheaded stepchild of snowboarding events, is also in the afternoon (CTV, 1, qualifying; elimination rounds at 3, Rogers Sportsnet/RDS).

The first two heats in four-man bobsleigh (OLN, 4 and 5:40) also take place.

Evening: The entire country will basically be at a standstill for the Slovakia-Canada hockey semifinal (9:30, CTV/V), which needs no hyperbole. Pity any junior team in Canada which is playing a home game at the same time.

The early evening includes Cheryl Bernard facing Sweden's Anette Norberg in the women's curling gold-medal game (6, CTV/RDS), as she attempts to win Canada's first gold since the late Sandra Schmirler 12 years ago in Nagano.

RDS and TSN have a heavy dose of short-track speed skating starting around 9:15. The finals are at 10:15, competing with hockey. Canada's Charles Hamelin,still look for his first medal at these Games, is a favourite in the men's 500.
