'Did that really just happen?'

An incredible long-range buzzer beater from Andrew Wiggins sealed a thrilling win for Minnesota against Carmelo Anthony's Oklahoma City in the NBA.

Thunder fans were ready to celebrate Anthony’s first big moment while wearing an OKC jersey, but Wiggins had other plans.

In a wild Sunday night finish, Anthony gave the Thunder a one-point lead over the Timberwolves by hitting a three-pointer with just five seconds left on the clock.

It looked as if Oklahoma City might pull out a win after trailing by 13 points entering the fourth.

Wiggins, however, took the inbounds pass, weaved his way just inside half-court and called glass before heaving his shot.

The ball bounded in off the backboard as the clock expired - silencing the home crowd as the Timberwolves snatched a 115 - 113 win.

The reaction of the Timberwolves players was in stark contrast to their opponents as players rushed the court to congratulate their match-winning teammate.

As for Anthony? Well, he had a nice view of Wiggins' last-gasp heroics.

The win moved Minnesota's record to 2-1. Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns both scored 27 points.

The Thunder fell to 1-2 and were led by Russell Westrbook's 31 points, 15 of which came in the fourth quarter to get the Thunder back into the game.

Anthony scored 23 while the offseason's other big addition, Paul George, had a disappointing game. He shot just 6-of-20 from the field for 14 points.

Incredibly, it wasn't even Wiggins' first buzzer-beater of the new season; he also hit one to beat the clock at the end of Friday’s first half against the Utah Jazz.
