Knicks star pulls off absolutely filthy block

New York Knicks big man Kristaps Porzingis left the basketball world in awe with one of the most outrageous blocks ever seen in the NBA.

The Latvian young gun used every centimetre of his wiry frame and impressive reach to leave the crowd stunned and Brooklyn's Spencer Dinwiddie downright humiliated.

The Nets player went up for a regulation lay-up off the glass when Porzingis jumped over his own defensive player and plucked the ball out of the air with a swinging right hand.

Not only did the seven-foot-three-inch giant time the rejection perfectly, he miraculously managed to keep control of the ball after swatting it from Dinwiddie's grasp.

The incredible play will undoubtedly go down as one of the best blocks/steals of the year, and in all honesty it will require something pretty extraordinary to top it.

That will probably come as little consolation to the Knicks and Porzingis though, after they went down to the NBA's worst team 120-112.
