Baseball star hits insane home run with broken bat

Well, this is impressive.

Washington Nationals right fielder Bryce Harper was facing New York Mets pitcher Jacob deGrom in the first inning on Monday when he hit what might be the most remarkable home run of his career.

That swing that left Harper holding just the handle of his bat deposited the baseball 406 feet later over the right-centre field wall at Citi Field to give the Nationals a 1-0 lead.

It was Harper’s eighth home run of the season.

He’ll surely hit plenty more, but that one will be hard to top.
