Is Baker Mayfield worth dropping without his top 2 targets? | Fantasy Football Live

Yahoo Sports fantasy analyst Andy Behrens shares his prediction for the Buccaneers quarterback with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin both out.

Video transcript

Andy Barons, but I say Baker Mayfield at this point with this version of Tampa Bay believe or make believe.

Yeah, I already, I already regret that.

I flagged Baker Mayfield for this.

Um because I love the season he's having right.

I was, I feel like I was an early believer in Baker Mayfield in Tampa last year too.

Um He was a pillar of my super flex planning entering this season and it was going so well.

He's leading the league in touchdown passes, career highs across the board completely, 70% of his throws, but there is not a single quarterback in the game who could preserve their fantasy value after losing a pair of receivers like Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, right?

Um And the Bucks are saying a lot of the right things about believing in Jalen mcmillan and Trey Palmer and we're gonna put them in positions to succeed, etcetera, but you just lost two guys who were playing at an all pro level.

Um Mike Evans going to the hall of fame someday.

Uh He's, he's out for a month.

Chris Godwin is out for the year.

We just, we can't adequately replace them with Kate Otton and a bunch of supporting receivers.

Uh, so for me, Baker Mayfield, with this current receiving room moves from a believe to the make believe side of the Ledger.

And I think, I think in a one quarterback league, he's just a drop right now.
