Samantha Stosur produces killer dad jokes

Tennis ace Samantha Stosur is fine-tuning her tennis skills ahead of the Australian Open, but she doesn't need to do any work on her sense of humour.

The Aussie No.1 is playing a tournament in Hobart this week and she's had some fun with the headlines in the local newspapers.

On Friday, Stosur was knocked out of the Hobart International after a straight-sets loss to Klara Zakopalova of the Czech Republic.

Ironically, the pair will meet again in the first round at Melbourne Park next week.

The former US Open champion has a poor record at her home grand slam, failing to pass the fourth round in 11 attempts.

But she's no stranger to success at Major tournaments, having won the US Open in 2011 and reached the semi-finals or better at the French Open three times.

Stosur is seeded No.17 for the Australian Open.
