Nick Kyrgios returns to set up huge Tsitsipas showdown

Australia have rested in-form Alex de Minaur for their final ATP Cup group tie against Greece in Brisbane with Nick Kyrgios set to return from injury.

De Minaur, who has won both of his matches in the tournament in three sets, will sit out the dead rubber against the Greeks on Tuesday at Pat Rafter Arena.

Captain Lleyton Hewitt made the call with Australia having already secured top spot in Group F and a spot in the quarter-finals in Sydney following their wins over Germany and Canada.

The world No.18 has been replaced by hometown favourite John Millman, who'll make his second appearance at the tournament after successfully filling in for Nick Kyrgios in Sunday's tie with the Canadians.

Millman will face Michail Pervolarakis in Tuesday's opening singles match.

Kyrgios has been given the all-clear to return from a back injury and will face Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas in the second singles match of the tie.

Zverev’s ATP Cup struggles continue

Alexander Zverev's Australian Open preparations are in disarray.

Smashed racquets, on-court meltdowns and three defeats from three matches, the ATP Cup in Brisbane has been a tournament to forget for Zverev.

The German world No.7's preparations for the year's first grand slam are in tatters as he slumped to a 6-2 6-2 loss to Canada's Denis Shapovalov on Pat Rafter Arena on Tuesday.

While the defeat didn't contain the explosions of frustrations from his earlier matches, the performance was just as insipid for such a highly-touted player.
