Arsenal vs Tottenham LIVE! Premier League match stream, latest score and goal updates today
Arsenal hold a half-time lead over Tottenham in the north London derby after an eventful 45 minutes. The Gunners are is desperate need of a positive result to lift the mood having but fell behind to a deflected Heung-min Son strike, as Spurs edged in front despite struggling to get out of their own half for long periods.
Mikel Arteta’s side responded, though, and in familiar fashion. A corner was swung to the back post and Gabriel’s header went in off Dominic Solanke to equalise, before Leandro Trossard lashed a strike into the bottom corner shortly after, one Antonin Kinsky should have kept out. With Liverpool drawing to Nottingham Forest last night, a win here would move Arsenal within four points of the league leaders.
Spurs needed extra-time to get past non-league Tamworth in the FA Cup on Sunday, but there were far more positive signs a few days earlier when they beat Liverpool in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final. Ange Postecoglou’s side are on a four match winless run in the league, though, and are closer to the relegation zone than the top-six. How to watch: TNT Sports
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:47 , Matt Verri
86 mins: Bold - Arsenal making two changes before they defend a corner.
Lewis-Skelly one of those, goes to jog over to the halfway line and basically gets shoved off the pitch by Richarlison.
Booking for Lewis-Skelly for that time-wasting effort. Rice also off.
Merino and Zinchenko on.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:45 , Matt Verri
84 mins: Another missed chance!
Odegaard plays it wide to Tierney, who has Rice on the overlap but plays it into the box himself.
Falls perfectly for Odegaard, one touch to get it out of his feet and a second... to shoot wide.
Had. To. Score.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:44 , Matt Verri
83 mins: Maddison pings a cross to the back post, Raya never looks like he’s getting there but sticks out a big hand and does so, so well to claim it.
Then drops it but Richarlison had fouled him - Spurs forward never afraid to get involved.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:43 , Matt Verri
82 mins: Arsenal have had the chances to kill this match off, but instead it’s set to be a very nervy final ten minutes.
Tierney is playing half at left wing, half as a second left-back.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:40 , Matt Verri
80 mins: Lovely ball from Richarlison, Spence is in behind.
Saliba across to cover and Spence goes down, appealing for a penalty. Referee not convinced, VAR won’t be either. Great defending.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:38 , Matt Verri
78 mins: Postecoglou’s turn to make a change.
Son is off, Richarlison on for the final 15 minutes or so.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:36 , Matt Verri
76 mins: Spence decides to try and beat four Arsenal players on the edge of his own box - can’t, believe it or not.
Timber in the area, cuts it back and Odegaard is free, but Havertz intercepts it first and makes a bit of a mess of it.
Tierney coming on for Trossard. Arteta wants more control.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:35 , Matt Verri
75 mins: It’s all very open - not sure that’s suiting Arsenal.
The more chaos, the better it is for Tottenham as they push for an equaliser.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:33 , Matt Verri
73 mins: And Partey tries his best to give Spurs that moment. Gives it away twice in about ten seconds, Solanke with a big chance but it’s a sensational block from Gabriel.
At the other end, Rice gets a shot away and Kinsky seems to save it with his shoulder!
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:32 , Matt Verri
72 mins: Johnson with a good low ball into the Arsenal box, nobody there for Spurs.
Visitors having a better spell and they are still right in this match. Only takes one moment...
Dan Kilpatrick at the Emirates Stadium
21:30 , Matt Verri
Arsenal have their lead and are looking to slow down the tempo of this game, challenging Spurs to come at them.
Big ask for the visitors from here.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:29 , Matt Verri
69 mins: Great turn from Martinelli and he drives into the box.
Past Gray, could get the shot away, could square it for Havertz... does neither.
Can only win the corner in the end.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:26 , Matt Verri
66 mins: Rare Spurs attack, no shortage of numbers up again.
Kulusevski pokes it through to Maddison, who has the ball stuck under his feet as he sends a shot wide.
Dan Kilpatrick at the Emirates Stadium
21:25 , Matt Verri
Arsenal's whole back four and Rice are having outstanding games, smothering every Spurs counter before it can really get going.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:24 , Matt Verri
64 mins: Arsenal still firmly in control.
Odegaard with a lovely header into Rice’s path, who can’t quite take it with him.
Midfielder shifts to the byline and wins another corner.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:23 , Matt Verri
62 mins: Kinsky is threatening to make a mistake every time the ball comes to him, but to be fair to him he’s outrageously calm.
Ball bobbled back to him, not a great first touch so he decides to just flick it behind him to Gray. Madness.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:21 , Matt Verri
60 mins: Here is that change we’ve been expecting.
Martinelli on for Arsenal and he will really fancy his chances of making an impact in the final half an hour.
He replaces Sterling, who hasn’t had a great game.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:20 , Matt Verri
59 mins: Arsenal fans getting irritated with Sterling, who has slowed things down a couple of times when in space.
Better this time, cross clipped to the back post and Trossard slices his effort.
Comes back to him, this time Trossard swings at thin air. He wants a penalty - never getting that.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:17 , Matt Verri
57 mins: How have Arsenal not made it 3-1?!
First Havertz has a free header in the box, great ball in from Partey... nodded straight at Kinsky. Massive chance.
And then Arsenal win it back in the Spurs box, Havertz rolls it to Sterling and he scuffs the shot under pressure from Bergvall.
Two big moments.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:16 , Matt Verri
56 mins: Brilliant from Lewis-Skelly.
Kulusevski briefly looked to be away down the right, but the Arsenal teenager came charging back. Too quick, too strong and wins it back.
Simon Collings at the Emirates Stadium
21:14 , Matt Verri
Martinelli is going to be a big substitute for Arsenal, here.
Spurs are going to push for this more and more, so there should be the space he craves.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:13 , Matt Verri
53 mins: Bergvall, who I’ll remind you is basically playing in midfield by himself, slides in and gives away a corner under no real pressure.
This is number eight of the night for Arsenal. Odegaard to swing it in,
Havertz at the near post, not clean contact and it bounces. That was a real chance - headed just wide.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:12 , Matt Verri
51 mins: Gray holding his head, doesn’t look hugely comfortable.
Looks over the bench and I think realises that there is basically no choice but for him to carry on.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:09 , Matt Verri
49 mins: Spurs are not short of numbers in attack.
Johnson inside to Kulusevski, he tries to work space for the shot but Rice does well to stick with him and get a foot in.
Dan Kilpatrick at the Emirates Stadium
21:08 , Matt Verri
Bissouma lost the ball in the build up to Arsenal's second goal and is one of two players hooked at the break, along with Sarr.
Maddison and Johnson are on, with Bergvall moving to No6 and Kulusevski into midfield. Spurs are going for it.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
21:07 , Matt Verri
46 mins: Early signs would be that Spurs have decided to not play a midfield.
Sterling allowed to stroll towards the Spurs box, nearly tripping himself up in the process.
Does lead to him getting a shot away, blocked at the near post.
Back underway!
21:05 , Matt Verri
Maddison and Johnson are on for Spurs, replacing Bissouma and Sarr.
Spurs players furious...
21:01 , Matt Verri
Tottenham were adamant that they should have had a goal-kick, but a corner was given and that brought the Arsenal equaliser.
Was Trossard off the pitch when the ball bounced back off him?
Looks like the Gunners were fortunate.

Like so many north London derbies, an entertaining half. Spurs took the lead, but Arsenal fought back to be ahead.
Arteta's side been full of energy and looked to play on front foot. Huge second-half to come.
Trossard completes turnaround!
20:52 , Matt Verri
Here is that goal from Trossard just before half-time.
So much space for him on the left, the strike was a good one... but Kinsky has to be saving that.
That didn't take long!

HT: Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham

Half-time at the Emirates.
Spurs took the lead against the run of play through Son’s deflected strike, but Arsenal hit back.
Gabriel’s header went in off Solanke, before Trossard fired in past Kinsky to put the Gunners in front.
Dan Kilpatrick at the Emirates Stadium
20:48 , Matt Verri
Kinsky has been one of the protagonists of this game, seeing more of the ball than any other Spurs player.
But he should have done better for both Arsenal goals, particularly the second which took an awkward bounce in front of the goalkeeper and evaded his hand.
It has been an eventful introduction to the Premier League for the 21-year-old Czech so far.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
20:47 , Matt Verri
45+2 mins: Shake of the head from Postecoglou, who will be so annoyed with how this has slipped away from his side.
Probably a good thing for them that it’s about to be half-time, they’ve lost all momentum.
Odegaard through to Havertz in the box, shot on the turn is blocked by Dragusin.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
20:46 , Matt Verri
45 mins: Four minutes added on.
Spurs looking a bit rattled now, Arsenal relentless in pressing up the pitch.
Solanke does well there though, holding up the ball and winning a foul.
GOAL! Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham | Leandro Trossard 44'
20:45 , Matt Verri
ARSENAL TAKE THE LEAD!
The Emirates erupts!
Spurs lose the ball and Arsenal can break, Odegaard flicking it through to Trossard.
He’s allowed to drive towards the box, and lashes a brilliant finish into the far corner. Kinsky should probably have done better.
Simon Collings at the Emirates Stadium
20:43 , Matt Verri
And there is yet another theme from Arsenal's recent games - a set-piece coming to their rescue.
Arsenal 1-1 Tottenham
20:43 , Matt Verri
43 mins: Havertz takes a heavy touch and then catches Dragusin late as he tries to make up for it.
Referee takes his time before deciding it’s a yellow card - big old swan dive from Dragusin probably didn’t help Havertz.
Arsenal 1-1 Tottenham
20:42 , Matt Verri
42 mins: Could well go down as a Solanke own goal, he got the final touch. Arsenal couldn’t care less.
Big, big five minutes or so coming up now before half-time.
GOAL! Arsenal 1-1 Tottenham | Gabriel 40'
20:40 , Matt Verri
Yet another Arsenal corner.
AND THIS ONE THEY SCORE FROM!
It’s that man Gabriel again, Kinsky could only watch the ball sail over his head and Gabriel was there at the back post to nod in.
Dan Kilpatrick at the Emirates Stadium
20:38 , Matt Verri
Spurs will struggle to hold onto this lead unless Kulusevski and Son, in particular, can get in the game and start holding up the ball.
They are being smothered by Arsenal players every time they get on the ball and the result is wave after red wave attacking Kinsky's box.
Arsenal 0-1 Tottenham
20:37 , Matt Verri
37 mins: Sterling backs himself to take on Spence... and loses.
Knocks the ball past the full-back, who gets his body in the way and sees it out for a goal-kick.
Arsenal 0-1 Tottenham
20:35 , Matt Verri
35 mins: Can Arsenal make the most of one of these corners? Haven’t had a chance from them yet.
More of the same, right on top of Kinsky but the goalkeeper is up to the task and punches it out.
Arsenal 0-1 Tottenham
20:34 , Matt Verri
34 mins: Have to think Odegaard will go for goal here.
Nope, dinked to the back post and Bissouma nods it behind for a corner.
Arsenal 0-1 Tottenham
20:33 , Matt Verri
33 mins: Porro fine to continue - think his main problem was embarrassment.
Arsenal continue to dominate the ball and look the better side, but they are struggling to make the most of it.
Odegaard tripped from behind by Kulusevski, free-kick in a great position. 25 yards out.
Dan Kilpatrick at the Emirates Stadium
20:31 , Matt Verri
There was a big deflection on the finish, which left Raya stranded, but Son took a tough chance well.
The South Korean's in a difficult moment but class is permanent and all that
Arsenal 0-1 Tottenham
20:30 , Matt Verri
30 mins: Brilliant turn from Trossard, leaves Porro in a heap.
Arsenal fans absolutely furious as the referee halts play so the Spurs defender can get some treatment.
Arsenal 0-1 Tottenham
20:28 , Matt Verri
27 mins: First yellow card of the night and it goes to Sarr, who stopped Arsenal taking a quick free-kick.
Fair to say the Arsenal fans are quite quick on pointing those kind of things out to the officials...
Simon Collings at the Emirates Stadium
20:27 , Matt Verri
Like in a lot of recent games, Arsenal have enjoyed dominance - but they've nothing to show for it.
Crucial they make - That was genuinely how far I got typing the latest update before Son scored.
Typical of Arsenal's run recently.
GOAL! Arsenal 0-1 Tottenham | Heung-min Son 25'
20:25 , Matt Verri
AND SPURS TAKE THE LEAD!
Arsenal’s dominance counts for nothing - familiar tale.
Corner is taken short, eventually swung in and headed out to Son on the edge of the area.
Volley takes a big deflection and rolls into the bottom corner.
Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham
20:25 , Matt Verri
24 mins: Arsenal far too open as Sarr drives basically the length of the pitch. Partey was just strolling back.
Sarr gets to the byline, eventually Partey decides he should probably do something. Charges down the cross.
Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham
20:23 , Matt Verri
23 mins: Huuuuuge chance for Kulusevski.
Spurs corner, it falls for him and on his right foot he only has Raya to beat from close range - goalkeeper saves.
Another corner, this one smashed up the pitch by Sterling and Spence loses it.
Sterling tries to set Odegaard away, Bissouma wins that foot race.
Dan Kilpatrick at the Emirates
20:22 , Matt Verri
Kinsky was far too casual there and lucky he wasn't punished by Havertz.
You feel there will be an inevitable clanger from the young Czech at some point but the positives of his assertive approach should outweigh the negatives.
Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham
20:22 , Matt Verri
21 mins: Kinsky isn’t just asking for trouble, he’s screaming for it.
Again he takes a ridiculous amount of time on the ball, Havertz there and the goalkeeper just squeezes it away in time.
Spurs go up the other end and it’s a sensational cross from Spence - even better defending from Gabriel to deny Solanke a tap-in! Ridiculously good.
Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham
20:19 , Matt Verri
19 mins: Here we go again, another Arsenal corner.
Odegaard deep, Kinsky not hugely convincing but he palms it away and there’s nobody there in an Arsenal shirt.
Kulusevski tries to set Son away on the counter, but Rice is there to intercept.
Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham
20:18 , Matt Verri
18 mins: Dear me, Kinsky is so, so lucky.
Takes too long on the ball, Havertz slides in and blocks the clearance. Ball runs free, bit of a scramble before the Spurs goalkeeper dives on it.
That was very nearly disastrous from Kinsky, Arsenal are bang up for this.
Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham
20:17 , Matt Verri
17 mins: It’s just constant pressure on the Tottenham defence.
Another Arsenal free-kick, this one 30 yards out or so in a fairly central position.
Odegaard dinks it in, Kinsky comes flying off his line and doesn’t really get there.
Drops for Trossard on the edge of the area, scuffs the shot. Should have done better... again.
Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham
20:16 , Matt Verri
15 mins: Spurs happy to slow things down on the rare occasions they do get the ball.
Bergvall loses it, though. Heavy touch and he then absolutely flew in on Partey - advantage initially played.
Referee goes back to it, just a warning for the Spurs midfielder. Bit lucky there.
Dan Kilpatrick at the Emirates Stadium
20:14 , Matt Verri
Set-piece FC are already bombarding Spurs with dead balls. Three corners and two free-kicks in the first 11 minutes have tested Antonin Kinsky, who has been assertive but not entirely convincing.
Spurs yet to get out of their half, really.
Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham
20:13 , Matt Verri
13 mins: Massive chance!
Odegaard clips a wonderful pass to the back post, Rice brings it down perfectly and lays it off to Trossard.
Looks certain to score, but his effort is charged down... as is Partey’s from the rebound.
Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham
20:11 , Matt Verri
11 mins: Rice usually so reliable with his delivery from corners.
This one is right on top of Kinsky, he deals with it well again. Punched out to safety this time.
Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham
20:10 , Matt Verri
10 mins: A lot of set-pieces already for Arsenal, another free-kick here out wide.
He swings it to the near post, Kinsky under pressure and he does just about enough, punching it off one of his defenders and out for a corner.
Odegaard swings this one straight in, Gabriel wins the header header and it drops for Trossard... corner number four coming up!
Simon Collings at the Emirates
20:08 , Matt Verri
Bright start from Arsenal, who are pressing Spurs high and looking to get on the front foot.
It's exactly what Arteta called for to get the crowd up on their feet.
Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham
20:08 , Matt Verri
8 mins: That’s not going to be easy, though. Here come Arsenal again, Odegaard sliding a pass through to Sterling and Gray turns his cross behind for another corner.
Taken short, Trossard takes too long to do anything with it and his cross is eventually charged down.
Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham
20:07 , Matt Verri
7 mins: Gunners are pressing right up the pitch, Spurs not finding a way to play through them at the moment.
Visitors will feel they just need to get through this first 15/20 minutes until things calm down.
Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham
20:05 , Matt Verri
5 mins: Arsenal have flown out of the blocks here, Lewis-Skelly wins them their first corner of the match.
Rice over to take it, the usual line of Arsenal players waiting at the back post before making their move.
Rice swings it deep, Trossard makes the run there but can’t catch up with it.
Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham
20:03 , Matt Verri
3 mins: Nearly a huge chance for Arsenal... should Sterling have done better?
Lewis-Skelly played a brilliant ball through to the winger, who is clean through until he slows down for some reason.
Gave Kinsky a chance to come out and clear the danger.
Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham
20:02 , Matt Verri
2 mins: Spence a bit too keen to close Sterling down and it’s an early free-kick out wide for Arsenal. Up come the centre-backs.
Rice will be the man to whip this in. Great delivery, bit of a mess in the middle but Spurs just about hack it away.

It really is impossible to predict what you're going to get from Ange Postecoglou's Spurs.
You could make a compelling case that this has all the makings of the Australian's first 0-0 in English football. Equally, you could argue for the likelihood of a barnstorming 3-3...and anything in between.
It is clearly a good moment to play Arsenal but it still feels like a good moment to play Spurs, who remain without four of their first-choice back five.
19:57 , Matt Verri
Teams are out onto the pitch, brilliant atmosphere as you’d expect.
Spurs, though, will know a quick start from them could make it all get very edgy very quickly.
Here we go!

Players will be in the tunnel in the next couple of minutes or so.
Hope all of you with skin in the game tonight are feeling suitably sick.
Arteta confident results will come
19:48 , Matt Verri
Mikel Arteta has been in upbeat mood ahead of kick-off.
Asked in his pre-match interview about Arsenal’s struggle for goals, Arteta instead opts to focus on the number of chances created in recent defeats to Newcastle and Manchester United.
“Let’s keep doing that - we’ll win a lot of games,” says the Arsenal boss.
Huge week ahead!
19:43 , Matt Verri
It’s been a big few days for Arsenal and the crucial matches just keep coming.
Have the chance to gain ground on Liverpool tonight, before another tough test this weekend when the Gunners host former boss Unai Emery’s Aston Villa side.
Spurs, meanwhile, will travel to take on Everton, who have new manager David Moyes in the dugout. That will be a real test.

Arteta: We need Sterling
19:30 , Matt Verri
Mikel Arteta has backed Raheem Sterling to step up for Arsenal and make an impact in the absence of Bukayo Saka.
Arsenal are set to be without Saka until at least March after the winger tore his hamstring last month and underwent surgery.
Manager Arteta has started four different players on the right wing since losing the England star and Sterling makes that five tonight.
Sterling came on for the injured Gabriel Jesus during Sunday’s FA Cup defeat by Manchester United and Arteta was impressed.
“I was really happy with the way he (Sterling) came in [against Manchester United],” said Arteta on the eve of the derby. “Since he had the injury and he came back, you could sense he was going to give us something important.
“Great, because we need him. You could see what he can bring. He is used to playing in this kind of context and the demands that we have, every three days. Great to have him.”

Postecoglou: Spurs must embrace special occasion
19:17 , Matt Verri
Ange Postecoglou does not want to play down the significance of tonight’s clash.
He’s urged his Tottenham players to “embrace” the occasion as they look for a rare win on enemy territory.
Spurs have won only once away at Arsenal in the Premier League since 1993, with that sole victory coming 15 years ago.
"It is a special game and we should all embrace part of that,” Postecoglou says.
“It is not just a normal game, it is a little more."
Huge night for Arteta with mood shifting
19:10 , Matt Verri
Just days before he was appointed Arsenal head coach, Mikel Arteta sat in the visiting dugout at Emirates Stadium as part of Manchester City’s backroom staff.
The Spaniard left feeling down and with a sense Arsenal had lost their way, such was the mood at the club.
It’s why changing the atmosphere at the Emirates was one of Arteta’s first aims when he was hired and remains one of his key objectives.
Arteta has given his blessing and been involved in pre-match hype videos on social media, while he was also a big driver behind the club’s decision to play the song ‘The Angel (North London Forever)’ by Louis Dunford before games.
The atmosphere at the Emirates has dramatically improved under Arteta, but it was telling this week that he felt the need to call for more.
Two defeats last week has dampened the mood around Arsenal and there are the first few grumblings of discontent.
It is nothing like the toxic final days of Arsene Wenger, or the apathetic ending to Unai Emery’s reign, but there is not the same wave of enthusiasm that felt present during Arsenal’s title charges over the past two seasons.
It is hard to escape the feeling that Arteta needs to come out of this north London derby with a positive result.

Out of the FA Cup, a mountain to climb in the Carabao Cup, but Mikel Arteta still believes.
Arsenal boss is adamant club can still win a trophy this season and there is still plenty to play for.

Odegaard: Felt like I let the team down
18:37 , Matt Verri
Martin Odegaard has spoken about the responsibility he feels for Arsenal’s FA Cup exit to Manchester United.
Odegaard missed a penalty in normal time as the match went to a shootout, where he then scored from the spot but it was not enough.
Writing in his programme notes, the Arsenal captain says: “It was really tough to take on Sunday – it was very frustrating for everyone.
“On the pitch I had the feeling that we dominated the game from the first half until the end. We could have been sharper in front of goal and also in the last pass and the final shot.
“But to lose that game at home when we dominated everything, it’s a tough one to take.
“And of course I have to take responsibility for the penalty. I should have scored – that’s not good enough from me.
“It was a crucial moment of the game as well because I think if I scored that, we probably go on to win the game. I felt like I’d let the team down, so it was important for me to step up again in the shoot-out, and I wanted to go first like usual.
“It was good that one went in, but in the end it wasn’t enough, so I still feel that responsibility to the team.”
Last time they met...
18:28 , Matt Verri
Arsenal came out on top earlier this season.
They’re now on a five-match unbeaten run against Tottenham, winning four of those.
There was very little in it, but a corner again proved to be the difference for the Gunners.
Postecoglou lays out Spurs blueprint
18:19 , Matt Verri
Ange Postecoglou believes this north London derby is "as big as they ever come".
The Gunners go into the match 14 points clear of their rivals but on the back of cup defeats to Newcastle and Manchester United, which have dramatically reduced their chances of silverware this season and threatened the harmony at the Emirates.
Postecoglou, though, is not convinced by the change in narrative around Arsenal's season and believes they remain one of the league's best sides.
"A week, 10 days and all of sudden a team people were saying were flying are struggling," said the Spurs head coach on Tuesday. "I don't buy into that. I still think they're one of the top teams in the country ... it's going to take a massive effort from us to knock them over."
Nonetheless, now might be a good time for depleted Spurs to face their rivals, with the feeling of a corner turned in the past 10 days or so.
The recent Carabao Cup win over Spurs was a canny display in the circumstances and a blueprint Postecoglou wants his side to follow at the Emirates.
"I still felt what got us the outcome in the end [against Liverpool] was that we started with a really high intensity...and then we finished really strong," he said.
"I think we've finished stronger in that game because we maintained a really high tempo in that first half. I think that will be important [against Arsenal] as well - that we start the game really well, try to play as high tempo as possible and then hopefully the physical conditioning we have allows us to get on top of them late."
Arteta 'very clear' on striker search
18:09 , Matt Verri
Mikel Arteta says he has “very clear ideas” about the type of striker he wants to sign for Arsenal.
The Gunners have been on the hunt for attacking reinforcements already, but those efforts have stepped up following Gabriel Jesus’ knee injury.
The Brazilian has suffered an ACL injury in his left knee, and will undergo surgery in the coming days, after being carried off on a stretcher during Arsenal’s defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup on Sunday.
And asked if he has an idea about what kind of forward he would like to bring in, Arteta said: “We have very clear ideas of the players that we want, yes.
“It was before Gabi and it was with Gabi injured right now and we have to wait and see how things develop.”
Pressed what kind of profile of player he would be looking for, Arteta said: “You can speak to [interim sporting director] Jason [Ayto]. You know I’m not going to speak about that.”
Postecoglou talks up Kinsky impact
18:01 , Matt Verri
Tottenham's new goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky will "embrace the challenge" of dealing with Arsenal's set-pieces, according to Ange Postecoglou, who says the 21-year-old's confidence is rubbing off on the whole team.
Kinsky has kept clean sheets against Liverpool and Tamworth in a whirlwind start to his Spurs career since joining from Slavia Prague 10 days ago.
The Czech is set for his Premier League debut at the Emirates on Wednesday against Mikel Arteta's set-piece specialists, who beat Spurs 1-0 in September thanks to Gabriel's goal from a corner.
Asked how his newest signing would deal with Arsenal's threat, particularly from corners, Postecoglou said: "It’s more to do with mindset in that he’s prepared to embrace that challenge, and the challenge we found in the last game [against Tamworth] when we found out just how strong they are on offensive set pieces and the players they’ve got in terms of both delivery and execution.
"You need to be well organised but you also need your goalkeeper to play a pivotal role. So far what I’ve seen of him he’s embraced those challenges.
"It’s not easy going to a place like Tamworth and they’re throwing balls literally under the crossbar and you’ve got about 20 bodies around you.
"And as much as it’s about technical ability it’s more about mindset and tackling that and he didn’t shy away from it. That really helped us because it gives confidence to the players around him because they know if it’s in his area he’s going to come for it and they can focus on their job.
"It does give some comfort to the players around him if they see he’s handling it well.”
Arsenal set to sign Zubimendi
17:53 , Matt Verri
Arsenal are pursuing a summer deal for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi.
The Gunners are long-term admirers of Zubimendi, who came close to joining Liverpool last summer.
The midfielder has a release-clause in his current contract worth €60million (£51m), which Arsenal are believed to be ready to meet.
Arsenal need to invest in their midfield this summer as both Jorginho and Thomas Partey will be out of contract.
The pair, who are both over 30 years old, are yet to hold contract talks with Arsenal and Mikel Arteta confirmed last month he would prefer any negotiations to take place nearer the summer.
Zubimendi will turn 26 next month and is regarded as one of the best holding midfielders in Europe.

Spurs to wear away kit
17:40 , Matt Verri
This season’s north London derbies have taken on a new look after a Premier League and referees’ decision.
No matter home or away, both Arsenal and Tottenham would line up in their traditional red and white kits. But not this season.
For the first time in Premier League history, the Gunners were forced to wear their away kit in the derby at Spurs earlier this season, and Spurs were being made to do the same for tonight’s game at Arsenal.
Earlier this season, Arsenal were banned from wearing their traditional red home kit in the north London derby away at Tottenham.
The Premier League and referee body PGMOL have decided that the kit included too much white, both on the back of the top and on the shorts, which would create a clash with Spurs’ white home kit and thus make the referees’ job harder.
Arsenal were reportedly made aware of this possibility when designing their kit for the season. The offer of wearing red kits was turned down and they duly played in their black away kit in a 1-0 win.
As part of the decision, Tottenham agreed to not wear their white kit when they visited the Emirates Stadium in tonight’s reverse fixture.
Standard Sport prediction

Arsenal have been so poor in front of goal recently, but this could be the kind of match they need to get the attack firing again.
Spurs will not sit back in a low block and there will be space on offer for the Gunners - the question is whether the hosts can take those chances.
Confidence is fairly low in both camps and it promises to be a nervy affair, but Arsenal’s more reliable defence could prove to be the difference.
Arsenal to win, 2-1.
Tottenham team news

Lucas Bergvall has given Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou something to think about ahead of tonight’s Premier League clash.
With Dejan Kulusevski likely to start in the front three, Bergvall is competing for three spots in the middle with Pape Matar Sarr, Yves Bissouma and James Maddison.
The Swede was the only one of the four not to start the 3-0 FA Cup third-round win at Tamworth on Sunday, meaning he should be fresh to return to the XI against out-of-form Arsenal.
Postecoglou's back five effectively picks itself, with January signing Antonin Kinsky set to start a third game in a week in goal. Ben Davies has recovered from a hamstring injury to return to training but not expected to be part of the squad, but forwards Richarlison and Mikey Moore will be on the bench.
Brennan Johnson is expected to drop out of the Spurs side after struggling to make an impact against part-timers Tamworth over the weekend, while Timo Werner - who also disappointed - has been ruled out with a hamstring injury.
Predicted Tottenham XI (4-3-3): Kinsky; Porro, Dragusin, Gray, Spence; Bissouma, Sarr, Bergvall; Kulusevski, Son, Solanke
Arsenal team news

Arsenal are expected to have both Jorginho and Jurrien Timber fit tonight.
The duo both came off during Sunday’s defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup, but Mikel Arteta has confirmed that was due to cramp.
“He (Jorginho) was cramping when we played extra time,” said Arteta. “Jurrien was exactly the same. He’s fine.”
Arsenal could welcome Riccardo Calafiori to the squad, who missed Sunday’s loss to United due to injury.
“His thing is not too much but we need another day or two,” said Arteta.
Raheem Sterling could start his first game since December 18 as Arsenal continue to look for solutions after Bukayo Saka injured his hamstring last month.
Gabriel Jesus started there against Manchester United, but he was forced off with a serious knee injury.
Sterling did well when he came off the bench and could get a run of games now he is back from his own knee injury picked up last month.
Predicted Arsenal XI (4-3-3): Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Odegaard, Partey, Rice; Sterling, Havertz, Martinelli
