Arsenal were denied a seismic win at the Etihad when John Stones scored a 98th-minute equaliser for Manchester City.

Simon Collings was at the Etihad to see Arsenal in action...

David Raya 9

Made a string of good saves in the second half as Arsenal dug in. Arsenal’s player of the season so far.

Jurrien Timber 8

Looks fully fit after his long injury. Asked to play at right-back for the first time this season and rose to the occasion.

William Saliba 8

Out shone by Gabriel again but he was very impressive too. Struggled with Haaland early on but improved and was excellent in the second-half.

Gabriel 9 | Star player

Back-to-back Premier League goals for the centre-back, who scored another towering header. An utter rock at the back with Arsenal down to 10 men.

Riccardo Calafiori 8

Got beaten too easily by Savinho for the opening goal, but recovered really well after that. Marked his full debut with stunning goal.

Kai Havertz 7

Got through so much dirty work, especially in the second half. Battled in the air for every long ball and put a huge shift in.

Thomas Partey 7

Has struggled at times this season but did well today. Booked late on in the first-half, but managed in well.

Declan Rice 8

Produced a big display in the middle of the park when Arsenal’s backs were to the wall. Embodied the team’s fighting spirit. Tireless.

Bukayo Saka 7

Was actually having a good game before he was hooked at half-time following Trossard’s red card. Set up the Gabriel goal with a great corner to the back post.

Leandro Trossard 5

Sent off for two yellow cards in the first half. The second, right before the break, was for kicking the ball away - and felt harsh.

Gabriel Martinelli 7

Set up the first goal by teeing up Calafiori on the edge of the box. Worked tirelessly in the second-half and tried to give Arsenal an out-ball.
