Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain drops hint about next move as Liverpool career comes to an end
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has dropped a major hint in regards to his next move.
The Liverpool midfielder, hailed as a “legend “by manager Jurgen Klopp for his part in a trophy-laden few years for the club, bid an emotional farewell to supporters at Anfield on Saturday.
Roberto Firmino is another who will be calling time on his Reds career and the Brazilian scored during the dying embers of his final home appearance to rescue a draw against Aston Villa.
Jurgen Klopp’s side now have only a slim chance of making it into the top four despite a relentless winning run of late.
They head to Southampton on the final day of the Premier League season on Sunday needing to win, as well as hope neither Newcastle or Manchester United pick up any more points from their final two games of the campaign.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has been linked with a move to a number of English sides and hinted he will soon be back at Liverpool in the away dressing room.
“I’m sure I will probably be back here at some point in the difficult away dressing room, against these fans – I’ve done it before,” he said.
“I’ll try to do my best and if I manage to score or anything, I won’t be celebrating, I promise you that, because I’ve got so much respect for everything that I’ve been through here.”
