'Incredible': Alex de Minaur 'completely annihilates' top-10 opponent
Alex De Minaur has seen off the challenge from Roberto Bautista Agut to set up a showdown against Adrian Mannarino in the final of the Zhuhai Championships in China.
World No.10 and Wimbledon semi-finalist Bautista Agut was looking to maintain his push for a place in the season-ending World Tour Championships, currently seventh in the race to reach London.
But the Spainard could not continue his progress as De Minaur delivered a straight-sets victory, winning 6-2 6-2 on Saturday.
"I've shown it today, I've got this level, the level I brought today," the 20-year-old Australian said.
"If I can try to bring this level almost every week, then I'll be going deep in tournaments and beating these top guys and pushing for titles."
Tennis TV described De Minaur’s performance as a ‘demolition job’, while journo Jose Morgado said it was an ‘incredible performance’.
What an incredible performance from Alex De Minaur to beat Roberto Bautista Agut 6-2, 6-2 and reach the Zhuhai final.

De Minaur, the No.7 seed, had downed fourth-seeded Croatian Borna Coric in the quarter-finals after his earlier win over former world No.1 Andy Murray.
Mannarino in fine form
Veteran Frenchman Mannarino, the world No.61, had earlier seen off Spain's Albert Ramos-Vinolas in three sets, coming through 6-0 4-6 6-1 in just over two hours on court.
"Conditions are really humid here and it was really physical, but I was able to stay really concentrated," the 31-year-old Mannarino said.
"Even if I lost the second set, I stayed consistent with a lot of energy in the third set.
"I finally got the break in a really close game at the beginning of the third set and that gave me a push up and I was able to finish well too. I hope I am going to keep going like this in the final."
