Crows and Blues locked over Gibbs compo

Adelaide and Carlton remain locked in their trade discussions involving Bryce Gibbs on Wednesday night.

Gibbs, a former No.1 pick, looked on his way to the Crows before the Blues failed to show up to sign the paperwork over a disagreement with the compensation.

It is understood Carlton are seeking more from Adelaide with regards to a 2018 pick.

The Crows are determined not to fall back to the pack after losing the grand final to Richmond, which came less than a year after not trading for Gibbs last year.

The club lost defender Jake Lever to Melbourne, receiving the Demons' first-round pick, and could yet see Charlie Cameron out the door if a deal can be achieved with Brisbane.
