Melbourne star Jack Watts has seen his name raised in trade rumours but he says he couldn't bare to leave the Demons.

Speaking exclusively to 7 News Melbourne, Watts touched on topics from his favourite moment of 2017 and -- spoiler alert -- his relationship with Collingwood to his future in the AFL.

He even offered some insight into the burden of being a No.1 draft pick at a time when Melbourne desperately needed a new hero.
