Jayden Hunt channels Malcolm Blight with 65m torpedo

Melbourne youngster Jayden Hunt has evoked memories of the great Malcolm Blight with an incredible long-range goal against Adelaide.

After taking a mark seconds before the three-quarter time siren, Hunt had no option but to go for goal from 65 metres out.

"He needs a Malcolm Blight torpie here," one commentator said as Hunt lined up.

And the 22-year-old produced exactly that, sending a majestic barrel high into the sky and through for a sensational goal.

"Malcolm Blight eat your heart out!" commentators screamed. "One of the great barrels we've seen."
