Houli sent to tribunal, Schofield offered one-game ban

Richmond defender Bachar Houli will front the AFL tribunal for his violent strike to Carlton's Jed Lamb.

Houli appears set for at least two or three weeks on the sideline after he swung his arm at Lamb during the Tigers' win over the Blues on Sunday.

It will be the first time the tribunal has sat this season.

Houli revealed on Monday morning that he sent Lamb a message apologising for the incident.

Meanwhile, West Coast's Will Schofield has been offered a one-game ban for elbowing Melbourne's Clayton Oliver during Saturday night's loss.

Demons midfielder Jack Viney was cleared of contact with Shannon Hurn that left the Eagles skipper concussed.

The panel deemed Viney was contesting the ball when he left the ground and jumped towards Hurn.

North Melbourne midfielder Ben Cunnington is also set for a week on the sidelines for striking Western Bulldogs youngster Toby McLean on Saturday night.

Luke Parker, Dane Rampe, Joe Daniher, Nick Robertson, Easton Wood, Michael Walters and Hayden Ballantyne can all accept fines.
