'No idea how to run a club': AFL legend's savage blast for Carlton
AFL legend Leigh Matthews has taken aim at Carlton's hierarchy for the mess they have found themselves in after fans were left dumfounded when they reneged on a media announcement over David Teague's future.
Carlton have endured another tough season as they linger in 13th position with just eight wins and 14 losses this year.

The future of Blues mentor Teague has been the subject of intense speculation, and Carlton bosses were widely expected to announce his exit on Monday morning.
However, Carlton stunned the AFL world on Monday after cancelled an all-club meeting for Monday morning and instead released a statement saying more time was required before making a call on the embattled coach's future.
This is after Carlton launched an external review on the club's football department, which left Teague's position in limbo.
This prompted AFL icon Matthews to let rip at the hierarchy of the club.
Matthews, speaking to 3AW, implored Teague to 'wait to be sacked' rather than resign as Carlton bosses make up their mind.
“You wonder who’s running the footy club at Carlton,” Matthews told Sportsday.
“I must say, from the outside, whoever’s running that football club has got no idea how to run a football club.
“I reckon it’s the people at the top of that football club that are the problem. Somehow or other, that is just not working."
Carlton flip on coach announcement
With the club's board now digesting the findings of the external review, it was expected Teague's sacking would be confirmed on Monday.
In a stunning twist though, Carlton reportedly cancelled an all-club meeting for Monday morning and instead released a statement saying more time was required before making a call on the embattled coach's future.
Carlton President Luke Sayers issued a letter to members explaining the process and insisting that the club wouldn't be rushed into making a decision.
The confusing situation has left the AFL world incensed, with fans slamming Carlton for their treatment of Teague and accusing the club of hanging its coach out to dry.
