Model Jessica Gomes 'storms off' TV set after Dustin Martin question

Australian supermodel Jessica Gomes was put on the spot about her rumoured relationship with Dustin Martin in a bizarre moment on morning television.

The 35-year-old has been romantically linked with Richmond's three-time Norm Smith Medallist, with neither one of them willing to confirm reports.

Gomes again remained tight-lipped on Tuesday morning when Channel 7’s The Morning Show co-hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies probed her about the dating rumours.

In pretty awkward scenes, the segment broke down when Emdur creatively tried to prise some information out of the Aussie model.

“I have a hypothetical question,” Emdur started the conversation.

“If one of Australia’s top models, hypothetically, possibly, allegedly, had been linked with one of Australia’s top AFL players. Hypothetically only, if there were any truth to it, how hard would it be to navigate their private life within the public eye, hypothetically?”

Gomes responded: “Yeah, I don’t know what to say.

“Hypothetically, I don’t know.”

Emdur did his best to try and rescue the segment with a series of follow-up questions but Gomes appeared to be disinterested after asking: “Hypothetically, are we still filming?”

She then asked if the segment was over before getting up off the couch to leave, only to be waved back onto set by a frantic Gillies.

"Oh no don't get up, please sit back down," Gillies blurted out in a panic.

"Otherwise they'll say Jessica Gomes storms off The Morning Show set," she joked.

"No, we don't want that."

Gomes tight-lipped on Dusty rumours

Gillies' co-host joined in on the joke by pretending to follow Gomes off set.

"I'm going to storm off the set! This is ridiculous. We are out of here," Emdur said as Gomes and Gillies burst into laughter.

According to the Herald Sun, Martin and Gomes have been spotted on a number of dinner dates in recent months.

"The pair, according to rumours, had caught up for dinner several times this year, although details about where and when were not shared," the report states.

However, neither of them have been willing to confirm the news.

Gomes told the Herald in April: “I am so sorry, but I can’t comment on this. I don’t talk about my private life”.

Martin’s manager Ralph Carr also declined to comment on the rumours.

Gomes appeared in Sports Illustrated's swimsuit edition from 2008 to 2015 before becoming a fashion ambassador for David Jones.

She has been linked to several other high-profile stars including Twilight actor Xavier Samuel, Wallabies player Rocky Elsom, businessman Sebastian Drapac and Formula One driver Daniel Ricciardo.

She most recently appeared on Dancing With The Stars.
