You don’t have to be a die-hard sports fan to keep your favourite players close to heart - as adult film legend Mia Khalifa’s strange fandom of Australian football star Aaron Mooy goes to show.
The well-known adult actress has had the English Premier League player in her sights for some time, memorably naming Mooy among her three favourite players with David Beckham and Zinedine Zidane, continuing that trend by picking him in her EPL fantasy team.

To call Khalifa’s team unconventional doesn’t really do it justice though, with other obscure names like fellow Aussie Mat Ryan as goalkeeper.
Khalifa had some equally bizarre explanation for featuring the Aussie stars on her team.
For Mooy, Khalifa compared the Brighton midfielder to two-time NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard, explaining why she felt the pair shared certain characteristics.
“I know very little about the Premier League even though I enjoy it greatly,” she said in a video for URef, a site that lets fans rate and review Premier League referees.
“(Mooy) is the Kawhi Leonard of soccer.
“He’s unassuming, he’s kinda nice, he’s pretty f***ing good.
“Well he doesn’t look like him but he acts like him. He’s kind of camera shy, he’s a little goofy but you never see it and I don’t know he just reminds me of him. Kawhi Leonard is a good guy.”
Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan got a similar comparison from an American sport - although his was perhaps not quite as flattering.
“To be honest with you, I picked this guy because I thought he was the Atlanta Falcons’ Mat Ryan,” she said.
“But he is still a good guy on a terrible team so I sympathise with him and that’s why he’s my goalkeeper.”
TV host slams criticism of 'revealing' outfit
TV host Maya Jama has called out trolls online after copping some nasty comments about a dress she wore on the latest episode of ‘Save Our Summer’.
Jama hosts the weekly show in the UK with England football great Peter Crouch, which aims to fill the void left by the lack of sporting events due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However Jama ran into controversy last week when fans hit out at her ‘revealing’ dress.
The 25-year-old didn’t take kindly to the backlash, exposing the nasty comments on Twitter.
“Appreciate your concern. I am able and allowed to dress how I please,” Jama responded to one fan.
“If you feel uncomfortable by my boobs sitting in my dress that’s on you sis.
“We're all fighting for equality and similar treatment to our male counterparts. Don't let the side down by hyper sexualising my bod.”
Jama also fired back at another troll who said she looked ‘obese’ and suggested she ‘go on a diet’.
“You look like you p**s ash, please focus on your own vitamin intake,” she said.
