Adorable footage emerges of young McGregor Irish dancing

Adorable footage has emerged of a seven-year-old Conor McGregor dancing at his Holy Communion.

The vision, uploaded to social media site Reddit, appears to show the future UFC champion celebrating the big day by dancing with other young children back in 1996.

The energetic young man is dressed in a grey blazer and tie, and sports a bowl haircut, as he engages in some Irish dancing moves in the church.

McGregor has been living it up in the aftermath of his mega-fight defeat to Floyd Mayweather.

McGregor went into the unknown in his first professional fight outside of the octagon against undefeated American great Mayweather in Las Vegas, where he suffered a 10th-round stoppage.

While McGregor lost the bout at T-Mobile Arena as Mayweather celebrated his record-breaking 50th win, the Irishman completely defied the pre-fight predictions of a routine victory for the 40-year-old with his unorthodox and unpredictable style proving troublesome, especially early.

However Mayweather has now offered a brutal explanation as to how McGregor managed to get so close to him, saying he went easy because he didn't want to give the Irishman brain damage.

“He has a career. You know, he still has a career. He’s still young," Mayweather told the Hollywood Unblocked podcast.

“It could’ve been very damaging. We have to think about these fighters.

“Even my uncle Roger. Right now, I just got a call just before I came here. He keeps walking off, wandering off. No one can find him. He ends up in a hospital.

“So, brain damage — it happens. It happens.”

Despite all of the inflammatory things that were said beforehand, Mayweather and McGregor have showed nothing but respect for one another after making a boatload of money from their boxing match.

Mayweather took that mutual respect a step further by adorning the walls of his recently purchased Beverly Hills mansion with a giant painting of both himself and the UFC lightweight champion.
