Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks: Rankings, lineup advice for Thursday, August 3
Thursday's slate is relatively busy (13 games) and includes three games in the afternoon. Although the top-dollar pitchers in daily fantasy baseball contests have great matchups, there is a value from the mid-tier level of pitchers.
The afternoon games feature a pair of great pitchers, Zack Grienke and Jose Quintana, but also offer solid options German Marquez, who has nine or more strikeouts in his last three starts (all wins), and Michael Wacha, who goes against a struggling and strikeout-prone offense in Milwaukee. Wacha should continue his July dominance, holding a 1.86 ERA in his last six starts.
The evening slate features decent value picks Collin McHugh, Parker Bridwell and Ty Blach. In a boom-or-bust option, Matthew Boyd, has been toeing the quality start line with three straight starts with three ERs, but he has three wins and 16 Ks in 19 innings.
