The Cowboys held a mandatory team conditioning test Friday, and Dez Bryant was nowhere to be found.

The star receiver arrived three hours late to the Cowboys training facility, according to several reports. And while such behavior can cause frowns in team headquarters and result in a fine, Bryant reportedly told local Cowboys reporter Mike Fisher the team knew he would miss the conditioning test because he has been fighting a sinus infection and headaches.

But Bryant later told the NFL Network he apologized for his tardiness and that he should have informed the team he would be late.

Bryant spent Thursday night in his hometown of Lufkin, Texas, at a charity event where he bought an estimated $16,000 worth of barbecue for fans and hosted a kickball game.

Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram notes a source told him Bryant will be fined.
