Baseball player crashes into wall to take catch

Players always appreciate when one of their teammates puts his body on the line for the cause, as Toronto star Kevin Pillar did to take this incredible catch against Arizona.

The Blue Jays man was chasing a long hit from Diamondbacks left fielder Peter O’Brien that was heading right for the outfield wall.

Without a second thought about self-preservation, Pillar launched himself right at the wall and took the catch with his outstretched mitt before crashing into the padding and hitting the outfield hard.

The 27-year-old centre fielder was understandably a little rattled, but not enough to stop him from playing on.

Now that’s taking one for the team!
