Athletics: Sally Pearson is the No.1 star in the Australia Olympic team and one of the biggest track and field stars on the planet. She is Australia's best chance for gold on the track and is the current world champion after her stunning 12.28 sec victory in the 100m hurdles event. It was the fastest time in almost two decades.

Wrestling: Farzad Tarash surprised many by earning a berth to London and few predict a dance on the podium for the Melbourne wrestler but he is putting in every effort available and has joined the Iranian national team for training in the lead-up to London.

Swimming: James Magnussen seems to love the limelight and is certainly not lacking in confidence. He is Australia's best gold medal chance in the pool, and could emerge with as many as three, competing in the 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle and 4x100m freestyle relay events. Hockey: Jamie Dwyer is a super star in the world of hockey. He is a multiple recipient of the World Player of the Year and will be an integral part of the Kookaburras as they attempt to win gold.
