Reading's Federici makes it clear where his future lies

Reading goalkeeper Adam Federici has indicated that he will not stop until he reaches his dream of playing in the English Premier League.

The 25-year old Australian, is the number one custodian at the Championship club, but wants to push into England's top flight.

His form of late with the seventh-placed Royals suggests he is good enough to make it at the top and that is what he plans to do.

"I've come a long way to play in this country and I want to play at the highest level," he said.

"I don't pay much attention to the gossip. I tend to just keep my head down and play well.

"Obviously, I'm not going to hide my ambition. Everyone wants to play top flight football.

"It's the biggest league in the world and the most watched.

"I've had my little taste of it. I know what it's like. It is fantastic to be involved in."

Federici made two substitute appearances for Reading back in the 2006/07 season when the club was in the Premier League and he hopes it is them he returns to the top flight with.

"I've been in discussions with Reading and I hope that all goes well," he added.

"I am looking to do something. I've been offered a contract and we're reviewing that now so it should be done soon.

"And I think we've got a realistic chance of getting promoted this season.

"If I can do it with Reading, that would be fantastic."
