Meet Marko Tzar: Pelé's 'new BFF' and UAE's star of the World Cup Final

Luckiest football fan in the world? Marko Tzar enjoyed a trip of a lifetime courtesy of Virgin Radio Dubai and Emirates Airline.

Attending a World Cup final is the dream of any football fan. To watch a World Cup final in Brazil sat next to the likes of Pelé, Zico, Kaká and David Beckham is beyond what anyone could ever hope for, except for this UAE resident.

Meet Marko Tzar, the lucky man who won the trip of a lifetime to the recent World Cup showpiece in Rio de Janeiro, all expenses paid, as part of a competition organised by Virgin Radio Dubai and Emirates Airline.

In order to make it to the final stage of the competition, contestants were asked to be creative around the use of the hashtag #VirginRadioandEmirates2Rio on social media to earn a spot in the finals at Dubai Sports World.

Marko was among the five lucky finalists who battled it out in a penalty shootout for the grand prize - an incredible World Cup VIP experience, including free return flights with Emirates, accommodation in Rio and the opportunity to watch the match live alongside Brazilian legend Pelé.

And so after successfully winning the shootout, Marko packed his bags and set off for Rio ahead of the much anticipated final between Argentina and Germany.

And it wasn't long before he was rubbing shoulders with football and Hollywood royalty.
