Yankees GM Brian Cashman raises awareness for homeless teens by spending night at Yankee Stadium
The COVID-19 pandemic was not going to stop New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman from an important annual tradition. Cashman spent the night on the field at Yankee Stadium on Thursday to raise awareness for homeless teenagers.
It’s not the first time Cashman has raised awareness for this cause. In previous years, Cashman would spend a night on the actual streets of New York. With the pandemic present, Cashman had to alter his plans in 2020. He decided to spend the night Yankee Stadium.

Cashman is a board member at Covenant House, and organization aimed at helping kids experiencing homelessness. He got involved with the organization years ago, and has remained committed to raising money to support its goals.
Brian Cashman focused on leading Yankees to another title
When he’s not sleeping at the stadium or rappelling down buildings, Cashman is focused on bringing another World Series title to the Yankees. His hands should be full this offseason, as the team could lose D.J. LeMahieu, James Paxton and Masahiro Tanaka in free agency.
The Yankees are coming off yet another solid season, in which the team reached the American League Division Series. The team has not won the World Series since 2009.
