WWE icon Tammy ‘Sunny’ Stych has been arrested on multiple charges, including hiding from police and breaching a domestic violence restraining order.

Stych, 47, was one of the WWE’s first ‘Divas’, performing as a wrestler, broadcaster and manager across a lengthy career with the WWE, WWF, Smoky Mountain Wrestling and Extreme Championship Wrestling, making appearances from 1992 to 2011.

She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011, but her arrest in New Jersey on Monday is the latest in a long list of brushes with the law.

Police arrested Stych on Monday, charging her with two counts of contempt or violating a domestic violence restraining order, evading police, and driving while suspended, according to Fox News.

The former glamour wrestler has a long history of drink driving offences, the first of which dates back to 2015.

She is now out on parole after lawyers secured her release, but will face court over the charges at a later date.

Tammy ‘Sunny’ Stych’s wild wrestling life

After getting into the wrestling scene to help pay bills while she was in college, Stych went on to become a mainstay of the scene throughout the 1990s.

She later parlayed her fame from wrestling into a successful career in adult entertainment, at one point becoming the internet’s ‘most downloaded celebrity’ according to AoL.

In April she announced she was hoping to use adult platform OnlyFans to earn some extra money.

“In 1996 I was the most downloaded celebrity on AOL,” she posted on Twitter earlier this year.

“24 years later, in 2020, my goal is to be the #1 Content Creator on @OnlyFans.”

Nikki Bella, one of the WWE’s highest paid female stars, said sharing her pregnancy journey with her sister had been invaluable during a period of global turmoil, thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.

“I have embraced the changes of the human body, even though that can be tough at times,” she wrote.

“I have embraced the feeling of being uncomfortable knowing I am growing a life that will be one of my own.

“I have already felt the lioness in me come out even more knowing that I am ready to protect, teach, love and guide.

“And to go through all of this with my twin sister?

“Goodness I would say I am one lucky woman that God knew my timing of becoming a mom was divine.

“Can’t wait to meet you little boy in 4 weeks.”
