Wotton hails 'professional' Torquay after Hemel win
Torquay United manager Paul Wotton says he is 'delighted' with the 'professional' way his side beat Hemel Hempstead 1-0 to stay top of National League South.
Cody Cooke's penalty was the only goal of the game in front of more than 3,700 fans at Plainmoor.
The win saw the Gulls go two points clear of Truro City at the top of the table ahead of the two sides meeting at Plainmoor on New Year's Day.
"I'm delighted with the three points, delighted with the clean sheet," Wotton told BBC Radio Devon.
"I thought it was a really tough game. I thought we were off it physically in the first half, I'm convinced the first six games of the season we lose that game, but we found a way to win.
"We know we can be better, but I thought we showed a brilliant resilience.
"I just thought we were efficient, professional, I think that's a really good 1-0 win, a really good result, I'm really pleased."
