England and Roosters star Victor Radley is reportedly under investigation after allegedly being involved in a pub brawl that also included Ireland rival James Bentley.

The 24-year-old was involved in last weekend's huge upset that saw Samoa defeat England 27-26 in a thriller to end the hosts' dream of reaching the Rugby League World Cup final.

And in brutal news the Sydney Morning Herald have reported Radley is under investigation after an altercation with Ireland forward Bentley after the game.

The Irish side, in which Leeds forward Bentley featured, were knocked out of the tournament at the group stages.

"The RFL have been made aware of allegations and are currently investigating the matter," the RFL said in a statement.

Rugby League World Cup officials have also confirmed they are aware of the reported incident.

Victor Radley's England anthem gaffe

Radley, the Sydney Morning Herald report claimed, was not the instigator in the incident.

The forward has found himself in hot water for a number of off-field incidents in recent years.

Earlier this season he was summoned to speak with NRL chief executive Andrew Abdo after making a lewd gesture on television.

He was also investigated by the NRL's integrity unit after being thrown off a Sydney to Gold Coast flight last year and following an altercation in Byron Bay over Christmas 2020.

Radley also made headlines ahead the World Cup for a gaffe during the England anthem.

The Australian-born NRL star - who qualified to represent England through his British father - featured during his team's warm-up game against Fiji before the tournament kicked off.

The Roosters star's secret was cheekily exposed by a cameraman, who lingered on Radley while the rest of his England teammates belted out the anthem 'God save the King' before kick-off.

However, Radley revealed that he copped a grilling from his teammates over the incident because he didn't know the words.

And Radley has since made sure he didn't make the same mistake again.

Unfortunately for England, their dream of making the World Cup final is over after Penrith star Stephen Crichton showed nerves of steel to deliver the clutch play in the 84th minute to hit a field goal in front of 40, 489 fans at Premier League giant Arsenal's Emirates Stadium.

Samoa will now face Australia in the final.
