'Exiled': Andy Murray at centre of Wimbledon controversy

Andy Murray is set to make his much anticipated return to Wimbledon in the doubles competition but one move has British fans stumped.

The All England Club is having logistical problems trying to schedule Murray’s first round match with partner Pierre-Hugues Herbert and could be ‘exiled’ from Court One, according to SportsMail.

Court Two is being considered for his much-hyped return, but there are a number of factors that organisers are weighing up.

These include the condition of the court being maintained throughout the fortnight of play and the likely time of the match, according to the publication.

The organisers are concerned that a doubles match on centre court early in the tournament will cause too much wear and tear on the grass.

However, nothing is set with the draw to take place on Friday morning UK time.

The All England Club have also come under fire for its seeding formula from World No.2 Rafael Nadal.

The Spaniard criticised Wimbledon for seeding him number three, rather than on his world ranking like the other three grand slam tournaments.

Murray won the doubles at Queen’s Club with Feliciano Lopez last week.

But the 32-year-old crashed out of the Eastbourne Open with Brazilian partner Marcelo Melo in the first round.
