Jessica Chastain stepped out at the 2024 Emmy Awards with a hairstyle that not only stole the red carpet spotlight but reflected it, too... bear with me here, folks. May I present to you a lesson in how to achieve the 'glass hair' trend. Let the class commence!
Late last night, the nominee (who was pipped to the 'Outstanding Lead Actress In A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie - 2023' award by Ali Wong) took to the 75th Primetime ceremony [15 January, 2024] with a style like no other. And while she stunned in a neon yellow Gucci gown complete with a tasselled trim and plunging neckline, for we hair and makeup fanatics, it was, in fact, her glam beauty that we awarded 'best look of the night'. Controversial, I know.
Not convinced? Well, before we get into the nitty gritty details, take a look at the pap snap from the event, below:
Never have I ever seen hair as shiny as Jessica's red locks, here. *Drinks while simultaneously pulling out sunglasses to shield eyes*
Now, what constitutes to said glass hair trend is the sleek shine and glossy texture of one's tresses, made even more so prevalent here with Jessica's pin-straight style. IMO, it's giving hair model and TBH, if this very look were in a TV advertisement, you best believe I'd be stocking up on the product promoted, ASAP!
Luckily for us, Renato Campora – aka the hairstylist behind Jessica's 'do – shared the details behind what he used to achieve the finish on Instagram. "Using @hairrituelbysisley #hairrituelbysisley," he wrote in the caption of his post.
Although not specified, we're going to hazard a guess that among the products used was the Sisley Precious Hair Care Oil - Glossiness and Nutrition. I mean, clearly, it does what it says on the
tin bottle and we simply cannot argue with a nourishing blend of four oils.
P.S. Jessica, if you're ever in need of a hair agent, HMU. My rates are 10 per cent but am open to negotiation.
