Bayern Munich will mull over a move for Atletico Madrid attacker Antoine Griezmann, sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has confirmed.

The Bavarian side have twice attempted to move for the France international forward but squad planner Michael Reschke used his veto to prevent a deal from taking place.

Given that Reschke is now at Stuttgart, the path appears clear for the Allianz Arena side to broker a deal for a player who has recently been linked with Barcelona and Manchester United.

Sky Sport reported that Bayern are interested in activating the attacker’s €100 million release clause next summer and Salihamidzic has not dismissed the prospect.

Asked if the club have decided to move for Griezmann a third time, the former Germany international midfielder told Sky Sport: “Not yet. We have lots of time to think about that.”

The 26-year-old has scored only three goals this season for Diego Simeone's men.
