Warriors, Pistons not likely to be interested in Zach LaVine trade

.
.

While Sacramento harbored interest for Zach LaVine this past summer, sources say that the Kings are no longer an option after they landed DeMar DeRozan. Golden State also weighed a LaVine pursuit internally, sources said, but the Warriors do not presently have much interest. I've been advised that Detroit is not a likely destination for Zach LaVine, either.

Sources say Chicago will huddle with the representation for both Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic in December about the Bulls' approach to this February's deadline. Representatives for other veterans on the Bulls' roster are monitoring possibilities, too, to steer their clients to contending situations. -via marcstein.substack.com / November 29, 2024

No surprise, then, that Bulls executives, according to league sources, have been messaging to rival front offices that they are willing to discuss the majority of their roster in trade talks leading up to the Feb. 6 trade deadline. Most notably, sources say, Chicago has expressed a desire to move Zach LaVine, Nikola Vucevic and Lonzo Ball — who collectively command nearly $85 million in salary this season. -via marcstein.substack.com / November 29, 2024

Zach LaVine: I was in third or fourth grade, and I had an older cousin who was skateboarding. So, you know, I wanted to try it. You always want to try the stuff your older cousins do. My dad was getting pissed, though, because I wasn’t shooting or anything. "One day, he caught me skateboarding without a helmet. He said, 'If I see you doing that [__] again, it’s over.' And, of course, I did it again. He came out, smashed the skateboard, threw it over the fence, and said, 'Go pick up your basketball. That skateboard isn’t getting you anywhere.' That’s my dad, man." -via YouTube / November 29, 2024
