Warnock appointed interim Aberdeen manager

Neil Warnock has been appointed interim Aberdeen manager until the end of the season.

The 75-year-old has overseen a record 1,626 games in English football.

He came out of retirement 12 months ago to return to Huddersfield Town and steered them from second bottom to safety in the Championship.

The former Leeds United, Sheffield United and Cardiff City boss left the role in September, but did not rule out restarting a managerial career that began in 1981.
